Brandon Trust Awards Ceremony and Fashion Show

Another successful event, this time at the Winter Gardens, Weston-super-Mare. Complete PA System, Trussing, Lighting set-up and operation. We even received an unsolicited testimonial:

Magic of Motown at the Wellspring Centre Taunton

Provision of Trussing, Power Distro and Lighting for the fantastic Magic of Motown Show. Considering the fact that we couldn't get into the venue until about 2pm, everything was erected and working by 6pm, including Stage, Trussing, Power, DMX and Lighting. Another successful show supported by GC Sound and Light!

Care Awards for Somerset - Wellspring Taunton

GC Sound and Light provided a complete Stage Truss, with LED and conventional Lighting, Audio Visual Projector and Screen, PA with Radio Microphones for the Awards Ceremony with Chris Vacher from the BBC, plus complete Band PA and on stage-monitoring for "Man from Funkle" for the celebration dance afterwards. GC Sound and Light at Rock on the Green Taunton

Working alongside APR Audio who provided their usual high quality PA, GCS&L provided stage (well back of a lorry!) lighting for bands and other acts at the Annual Taunton "Rock on the Green" Event.
A simple mix of traditional frontal lighting using Fresnels and Par Cans, Colour Wash from LED Par Cans and Effects from MSD250 Moving Heads. Lighting design by Joe Sandford-Hughes.

Weston-super-Mare College Fashion Show

GC Sound and Light provided both Sound and Lighting for the annual Weston College on Monday 21st June. Another long day with an 8.00am Get-in and Late night Get-out. Lighting design by Joe Sandford-Hughes. GC Supplied a Mackie PA System with SA1532z Front of House and SRM450s as infills, Sennheiser radio Mics, Allen & Heath Mixing, Complete Lighting Truss, Power Distro, 1w and 3w LED Par Cans, LED Effects, Strobes, MSD250 Moving Heads, Par 64s and 1000w Fresnels, Followspot and Profiles. All lighting controlled by Sweetlight Software and programmed on the day by Joe Sandford-Hughes.

Burnham-on-Sea Folkfest Fundraiser

GC Sound and Light provided both Sound and Lighting for ten acts at the Folkfest Fundraiser held at the Railway Inn, Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset. The day was a total success raising £1,350 toward the cost of this year's Free Folkfest which will be held on 2nd-5th September, where GC Sound and Light will be providing equipment and engineering for seven venues, with over sixty acts on the Saturday and a larger rig for the Sunday outdoor event in Manor Gardens.

GC Sound and Light with Jimmy Carr

Providing both Sound and Lighting Systems and Services for Jimmy Carr at the Wellspring Centre, Taunton. Always a challenge considering the hall was being used as badminton courts until 1pm on the day of the gig. GC Sound and Light provided a 5.2kw Mackie SA1532z Active FOH system with delayed fills from Mackie SRM450s, Sennheiser Radio Mics, Allen & Heath desk. Lighting utilised Conventional Pars 64s with LED Pars and Panels.
